League of Legends (LoL), sometimes known as League, is a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game created and distributed by Riot Games in 2009. Riot's founders were influenced by Defense of the Ancients, a custom map for Warcraft III, and wanted to create a solo game in the same genre. The videogame has been free-to-play ever since its introduction in October 2009, and it is monetized by selling character customizations. The game is compatible with Microsoft Windows and macOS.

The first global LoL tournament of the year is almost upon us. Riot Games has published the entire schedule for the said tournament's first six days of group stages for the 2022 Mid-Season Invitational, which begins next week.

The LCK's unbeaten monarchs, T1, kick off the festivities on opening day, while the world welcomes the VCS back to international competition through representatives Saigon Buffalo. The Vietnamese team boasts one of the youngest lineups, with only one player over the age of 19 in the starting lineup, and yet they begin their adventure against perhaps the finest team in the event.

And fans will also have the opportunity to see another classic EU vs. NA battle when the newest LCS champions, Evil Geniuses, face off against the LEC's new-look G2 Esports. Both teams have the ideal combination of senior leadership and fiery rookie skill, which should result in an entertaining battle on the Summoner's Rift.

The 2022 Mid-Season Invitational is planned to begin on Tuesday, May 10 in Busan.
