First Genshin Impact Esports Tournament has been announced!
The first-ever Genshin Impact tournament has been announced and it will take place this month.
The event will be held in the UK, but this is the first time Genshin Impact is being played as a tournament outside China.
This is only a Universities Invitational, and yet the prize money of the tournament is quite lucrative.
There is huge news for the Genshin Impact players. This would be the first time Genshin's impact has been felt in a tournament outside China. The game is quite popular there. However, with time, the game has gained a lot of popularity and is now getting its first tournament in the UK. In today’s blog, we will be getting into all the details about the upcoming tournament. Genshin Impact fans are extremely hyped about the tournament and cannot wait for it to start. This could be the beginning of something big, and gradually we might see that there would be regionals and tournaments for Genshin Impact and other RPG games too!
What is the Tournament all about?
The tournament will be held in the UK, and it is going to be among universities in the country. For the time being, there are going to be a total of 10 universities that are going to take part in the tournament. The teams are coming from:
- Queen Mary University of London
- London South Bank University
- University of Roehampton London
- University of Warwick
- Wildcard Gaming
- Brunel University London
- Imperial College London
- King’s College London
- University College London
- University of Surrey
The teams from these universities can take part in the tournament officially. The other students who want to take part have to go through the social team. Each team has to have three members, among whom one has to be the caption. All the team members have to be students of these universities. However, they can take in one alumnus in their team, or they can even take one from outside universities who are registering through the Social team.
When is the Tournament going to Start?
This is another important question that fans have, when is it all going to start. Well, the registrations have already started from May 9 and will continue to May 16. The qualifiers will start on May 16 and go on till May 20. The finale will be held on May 28. All the tournaments are going to be held online, and the finale will be held in London itself. This is going to be extremely epic as this will be the first time that Genshin Impact will be held on a platform as a LAN event. The event is going to take place at Shoreditch's Platform bar.
